So what makes this antenna different? There are two key features , well maybe three, depending on how you look at it. First, the antenna comes fully assembled and the wire is loaded onto this 3D printed reel, for easy deployment and recovery. Second, this antenna uses the larger Fair-Rite 43 mix core in an autotransformer winding for better power handling. Yes, you can do 100 watts phone or digital with this antenna. And finally, Mike solves the frequency alignment issue common with end fed antennas. There is an additional capacitor and resistor combination added to the radiator at about 21 feet from the feed point end of the antenna to help keep the frequency dips in line with upper amateur radio bands.
