Country Style Ribs with Sauerkraut
2 tsp Dried Thyme
2 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp salt
1 tsp rubbed sage
1 1/2 tbsp dijon mustard
1 tbsp horseradish
1 tbsp caraway seeds
3 lbs country style ribs
2 tbsp oil
1 large onion sliced
2 cloves garlic
1 12oz bottle dark beer
bay leaves
1 large apple sliced
Mix thyme, pepper, salt, sage, mustard, horseradish, and caraway seeds in a small bowl. Spread over the ribs. Heat oil in dutch oven. Saute onion and apple until soft. Add garlic cook 30 seconds. Add beer to deglaze and then add ribs and bay leaf. Cover and cook about 90 minutes at 350 degrees until ribs are tender. Serve with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes.
