I test and review BougeRV 200 watt 9 Bus Bar (9BB) solar panel. This panel features 9 Bus Bar (9BB) construction for a 22.8% solar conversion, one of the highest in the industry. This panel is ideal for mounting on RVs, motor homes, campers, or other uses that require a mobile or off grid power solution.

For the last year I’ve been running the 180 watt panel from BougeRV on teardrop camping trailer. The panel has operated very well over the last year, and BougeRV has offered to replace it with the new 200 watt monocrystalline solar panel. The 200 watt panel has some definite improvements that should make it a better choice for RV solar production.
In full disclosure, this panel was provided to me by BougeRV in exchange for a video review, but my opinions on the panel are my own without outside influence.
So what makes the 200 watt panel different? The big factor is that it consists of a 9 bus bar construction. The bus bars are these metal strips that run between the cells and connect everything together. Most panels will have 5 bus bars per cell, but in a 9 bus bar panels, the cells are cut in half and connected in series along the individual bus bars. This allows for the cells to be more densely packed together and since smaller cells are connected in series, the panel is more shade tolerant.
But the big advantage is that overall the panel becomes more efficient. This panel has a 22.8% solar conversion efficiency and if you compare it to my other panel, it is the same size, yet can produce up to 10% more power.
Size wise, this panel is 54.72 x 27.8 x 1.38 inches and weighs just under 23 lbs. Peak power is 200 watts, open circuit voltage is 21.62 volts and the maximum power voltage is 17.98 volts. On the rear of the panel is a weather proof junction box with a positive and negative lead terminated to weatherproof MC4 connectors, there is a 15 amp series fuse and reverse polarity diode in the box for protection.
The aluminum frame is pre-drilled and is compatible with their Z brackets so you can mount this panel in a variety of locations, be it your home, camper, or RV.
