J-Pole antennas for sale
This is the original KB9VBR all copper 2 meter J-Pole antenna. Ruggedly constructed one piece design, this antenna will last practically forever. The specs for the two meter version are as follows: Overall length 69 inches, radiator 58 inches, matching stub 19 inches. An S0-239 connector is soldered on at the point of lowest SWR.
Each antenna is individually tested and tuned for optimum performance on their respective bands. The two meter antenna is tuned to 146MHZ (1.2:1 SWR or less at 146MHz), and the SWR is 1.4:1 or less throughout the entire 2 meter band. This antenna also loads up on 70cm for excellent dual band performance. Gain on this omnidirectional antenna is about 3db over a 1/4 wave groundplane. This style of antenna has been said to outperform a Ringo Ranger.
This is a super antenna for any situation. Great for base stations, this antenna can be mounted on a mast, tower or even strapped to an apartment balcony. This is at terrific antenna for digital communications; use it on your packet, dx cluster or APRS station. The Airband J-Pole

The airband J-Pole antenna is tuned for the 118 - 128 MHz aircraft band. This antenna will give you about 2.5 db of gain more than what you would get with a discone antenna. The antenna has a two piece design with a screw connector in the middle for easy transport and storage. Overall length of the antenna is about 80 inches with the 11 inch mounting section on the bottom. I normally tune this antenna to about 125MHz, which gives it enough bandwidth to cover the entire aircraft band. But if you wish to have the antenna centered on a specific frequency, please let me know when you order it and I'll build one to suit.

This is my favorite antenna. A monster of an antenna measuring 13.5 feet; the six meter J-Pole will exceed your expectations. Click to see a full size picture. It outperforms most commercial antennas with its solid 3 db of gain. Excellent performance; hit repeaters 40 miles away with only 5 watts. The 6 meter J features a two piece design for shipping and easy storage. It is constructed of a combination of 3/4 and 1/2 inch copper tubing for rigidity and light weight. The antenna also has a stabilizer to keep the matching stub from swaying in the wind. The antenna is vertically polarzied for FM work and is pretuned to the 52.525 Mhz calling frequency.
The Low Power FM (LPFM) J-Pole

The LPFM J-Pole is vertically polarized with about 3db of gain. The average height is about 95 inches but varies slightly with the frequency it is tuned to. The antenna comes in two pieces with a screw connector in the middle for easy transport and storage. The 222MHz J-Pole

The 462MHz (GMRS) J-Pole

Unfortunately you won't get the range you need unless you have a good antenna. The GMRS J-Pole is similar to the 440MHz antenna, but it is tuned for maximum performance on the 462MHz GMRS band. If your base radio can accept an external antenna (many of the better models can), then adding one of these antennas will greatly improve your range.
